An exciting opportunity for 14-20 year olds who are interested in pursuing a career in policing!
This youth initiative empowers cadets through leadership development, academic excellence, ethical decision-making, and community service.
Who Can Be A Cadet?
To join, you must:
- Be 14–20 years old
- Be in good standing at school
- Pass a background check
- Have no felony convictions
- Have no misdemeanors in the past 2 years
- Have no marijuana use in the past 18 months
- Have no illegal drug use in the past 7 years
What Will I Do As A Cadet?
As a Cadet, You Will:
- Receive training in law enforcement, such as patrol procedures, case investigations, and leadership
- Work alongside our officers and professional staff, gaining direct experience and valuable relationship
- Build leadership and responsibility
- Serve your community
- Represent youth in a positive light
While in the program, cadets have the unique opportunity to ride-along with officers in the field.
